Review on 🛠 Unfinished 3-Inch by 36-Inch Seam Binder - M-D Building Products 85613 by Eric Jenkins

Had to order a sill board from MD Building because a naughty cat ripped the carpet next to the bedroom door. The board worked well to cover up the frayed carpet and I hope it helps prevent this in the future. In fact, I'm seriously considering this as an option for any carpet sill/room as we have very indecisive cats. Once in, they want out, and once out, they want to come back! Our MD Building Product sleeper board arrived quickly and beautifully with no sagging. The reason for the four star rating is that there were actually chips on the back of the board that needed some sanding. It also has a crack that must have originated when one of the pre-drilled holes was made. The tear didn't seem to go all the way, and it turned out it was cut to fit the door frame anyway. This may be of very minor concern to some, but being a perfectionist I found this to be a minor issue. The screws were also a bit short so we had to go to the local hardware store to buy longer screws. This may be due to the carpeting and/or deep pile upholstery, so I don't see this as a fault with the product. Just thought it would be something worth mentioning if you too are considering using it on the cusp of the tile to carpet transition. I really like the clean color of the board. Before delivery I was sure we would want to paint or stain it but the color goes very well with our tiles and carpet so we left it in its natural state. did the work. It is particularly inexpensive. I couldn't find the sill board in our exact sizing requirements, but our local hardware store was more than accommodating when we kindly asked to have it cut to size. We have remarkably little experience with home projects, but we found this MD building product to meet our needs. I rely on the honesty of other reviewers for most of my purchases.
