I have used several substrates designed for planted aquariums and Flourite is definitely my least favorite. Even after rinsing, foam remained on the aquarium glass and a cloudy cloud at the bottom of the aquarium. I ended up draining all the water and rinsing the Flourite again and a few days later there is still residue. I prefer LOTS of Controsoil by Ultum Nature System (see 2nd photo) which does not require rinsing, has minimal haze and retains a rich black tint after immersion in water. All in all it was a waste of money for me and I just bought another pack of Controsoil to replace this Flourite.
