A very versatile machine, ideal for most needs. A real goalkeeper!

My first impression was that the unit was smaller and lighter than I expected, measuring 3" x 6" x 8" and weighing only two pounds. The big picture. The controls are simple and understandable. The instructions are well written and detailed. I would do without the buttons for device control. This only serves to blur the image during use. I think if you don't have batteries or they're dead you can always use the controls on the case. I really like this projector. The flip button scrolls all combinations upside down and backwards, allowing installation in any position. I'll be using mine to watch movies and paint murals, which should work really well considering all the great features this device has built in. Let's talk about the good things first. The focus works really well. I set the closest distance I could see how close it could be to the wall and ended up at about 40 inches which gave me almost a meter diagonally on the wall. It has an excellent 1080p picture via the HDMI input; very sharp. The keystone correction works quite well. However, the focus can deviate slightly at the edges with full or near full correction. I wouldn't say the fan is exceptionally quiet, but it's certainly not annoying. No problem reading different file types, MP3, MP4, TXT, JPG, etc. With different file types on the flash drive, you can choose the files you want to view. The menu even gives you a little preview before hitting the play button. I like all the menu driven settings and options. After reading other reviews I was very surprised by the sound quality. I've tried voice, music and movies and they all sounded really good. Still, it's certainly great to have speaker output like this for larger rooms. Just to make sure, I tested it and it worked fine. Now some constructive criticism. I wish there was a cut out on the tripod mount like on most cameras. That way it doesn't rotate as much on the mount. The height adjuster only goes up 1 inch, it could do with a bit more. The USB 2.0 input port cannot handle video at 60 fps or anything over 12,000 kbps for mixed audio and video. As such, you'll need to lower your frame rate when recording if you want to view video over USB, which I don't recommend anyway due to the combined size and speed limitations of flash drives and the 2.0 port of this device. The USB input port really needs to be a 3.0/3.1 port to work at full data rate with complex audio. The A/V and VGA inputs are good, but don't seem to be able to display resolutions higher than 600 x 800. It still looks very good. I didn't have a microSD or TF card to test, so I can't say much about it. I suspect that these cards can input data faster than a USB 2.0 port. Input method for best picture quality: Using the HDMI connection. Looks great! I only used video input via HDMI cable (directly via PC), no sound. But I'm sure the sound will work too. The lens cap keeps falling off, rendering it virtually unusable. I will definitely keep this baby! I would give it five stars if it had USB 3.0 input. That's the only thing that really bothered me.
