For size reference I'm 1.60m tall and I usually wear XS or S depending on brand, shirt style etc. I have a petite build with a 36C chest. Bought an S here and it fits well. Definitely not very tight, rather loose. At first I was very disappointed and thought that as a base layer it should be like the second skin and I thought about returning it but I didn't have time and after a few days I went on a trip. In the end I'm happy with the fit. Maybe a size XS would fit a bit tighter, but most likely it would be too tight and the sleeves too short. I had a bit of trouble finding a few tops in my closet that would fit comfortably enough, but that's really just because I seem to like my tops to be tight. So if you don't have a roomy top to wear over this base layer, or you want your base layer to be a bit tighter, this shirt is a great choice for you to go down in size if you are at the peak of popularity. Size. As others have pointed out many times, it is very thin, like hosiery. I was also wondering how it could keep me warm, but as another reviewer said, don't judge this product by its cover. Luckily, while it has the look and feel of hosiery, it doesn't FEEL quite like hosiery. I couldn't stand this feeling. But this top is damn soft and smooth, not itchy at all, and doesn't have the wiry cleaning pad feel of hosiery. I also really liked that it was thin enough to take up very little packing space when we were trying to travel light. I'm very glad I decided to keep it. This top has proven fantastic as a base layer for a cold weather holiday. I ended up with a couple of tops/sweaters that had enough room to wear them over and was happy as a clam wearing them almost every day during a 9 day trip in 40-45 degrees Celsius. Having always lived in warm Florida, I had no idea how to dress properly for cold weather, but staying warm was very important to me to be able to enjoy the trip, so I really trusted this thing and it actually passed! It's just a base layer - and it's light - so of course I had a sweater over that and a heavy fleece jacket over that, but honestly I think the base layer (not the sweater or the fleece) was the most important thing. to be able to warm up. I'm very glad it worked. FYI, I have ordered a pair of matching pants (Women's Terramar Thermasilk Pointelle Pant) with the same satisfactory result, as well as a mid-weight base layer set (Women's 32Degrees Heat Thermal Top and Pants) for cooler days.
