I love these ice cube trays. The cubes are small enough to fit through the small necks of soda or water bottles and are shaped like a bell. But to make great dice, I quickly learned that there is a procedure you MUST follow. Just don't overfill individual wells. This seems obvious, but in practice it is difficult to do. Carefully filling (but not overfilling) each well with a turkey syringe or other implement like a large syringe will ensure you get perfect cubes with no extra "flashing". Yes, it takes extra time, but sometimes that's the way it is with perfection. You buy these trays and find out for yourself. Also when freezing it is best not to stack the trays on top of each other as the bottoms of the top trays will dig into the recesses of the bottom trays and eventually the cubes will pull out when you lift the top trays.
