I'm a big fan of OXO products. I have several, one of which is a rubber bottomed kitchen bowl that has lasted over 20 years and still works! Based on the brand, I bought this silicone whisk as well as a 9 inch whisk; I did this because I recently acquired a nice set of non-stick cookware that I didn't want to damage with a traditional metal whisk. When I first used this whisk, I was very surprised at how different it was from a traditional whisk. Metal whisk that I used to use. This whisk was very soft and flexible and had a lot of rebound. I used it to whip up some dry ingredients - flour, spices and other dry foods - and it was everywhere. I didn't have nearly as much control as I normally do with a metal whisk. I hope it gets better as I get used to this whisk. I was so surprised at how different it felt.
