<<<IMPORTANT: This review uses a phone that supports USB OTG. IF YOUR PHONE DOES NOT SUPPORT USB OTG THEN THIS ADAPTER WILL NOT HELP OR CHANGE IT. >>> Tested immediately with my Samsung Galaxy S5. Connection in Galaxy. The Galaxy immediately recognized the connected storage device. For testing, I used a Sabrent 4-port USB hub, various flash drives, a DBPOWER backlit keyboard, a wired Xbox 360 controller, and a Razer Mamba mouse. When browsing the store, I used ES File Explorer available on the Google Play Store. This adapter connects securely to my phone and any attached peripherals - no wobbling or bending. Not a bad plus for such a cheap device. As you can see in the pictures, many options have been implemented. With the help of this OTG adapter and my hub, I was able to connect, read and write to three flash drives at the same time. (If you enable all four ports, only three will appear - you'll need to disable one of them.) You can also connect a mouse and keyboard - independently and simultaneously with the hub. No lag or glitches were detected and the mouse cursor appears automatically. The keyboard and mouse are even backlit! The big dream that people say can only be realized with Bluetooth was to use a wired game controller with a game. For my test, I used an Xbox 360 controller and Reicast, a Dreamcast emulator. To my delight, the emulator recognized the connected controller and the controller LED came on. It might even be possible to use the Trio Linker Plus II or Mayflash to OTG connect retro controllers to the Galaxy - I'll check that later. Take it, Bluetooth servant! In short, this adapter is 100% value for money and works. Big. Breakdown of what works and what doesn't: Works with: - Keyboards - Mice - Game controllers - Flash drives - USB hubs - Other phones/speakers (charging only) - USB book lights Doesn't work: - External CD/DVD drives ( phone probably doesn't supply enough power to support laser readout) - Printer - Energy saving when playing activities More tests needed: - External hard drives - USB to Ethernet adapter Pros: Performs better than expected, solid construction. Cons: Doesn't charge my Tesla Model S.
