I bought this on the recommendation of my occupational therapist to massage scars after my arm surgery. The first thing that struck me was how soft it is. It feels creamy on my skin and doesn't go away right away, leaving time to massage scars, skin and tendons. An additional benefit of arnica is to reduce post-surgical swelling and relieve pain. My scars are starting to diminish and the surrounding skin is always soft and smooth. I highly recommend this cream.
