Once installed the connector works well but the mechanical connections inside are unnecessarily difficult to install unless you are using very thin cables. I used this connector to connect a 12ga solar panel wire and I had to cut a third of the copper wire strands to fit the small holes in the terminals. Also, you have to be very finicky about cutting the ends of the wires to the right length. Finally, the negative terminal uses a jammed nut, which may fall off during installation, which is inconvenient. More importantly, the same mother dropped from a previous installation after a few years, resulting in an intermittent connection that was difficult to diagnose. However, I bought the same plug again, so I couldn't find anything better that also blocks in the corresponding bulkhead socket.
