Review on EA Performance HOB Power Filter - Ideal for 4 Gallon Desktop and Betta Aquariums - Non-China Manufactured by Travis Jenkins

I have a 3 gallon freshwater nanotank in which I placed a cylindrical glass vase that is 12 inches in diameter and 8 inches high. When I ordered the filter I wasn't sure if it would fit the curvature of the tank but it fits perfectly. The EA unit comes with a nice sponge pre-filter which I left in place. However, I did swap out the two internal foam filters (see below). The small (cropped) mesh pouch even has some space for activated charcoal as well as a few BioMax pellets. The flow rate is easy to adjust. The filter is almost noiseless. In rare cases it "buzzes", but turning it off for 30 seconds and restarting the filter will solve the noise problem. As long as the water level in the tank is at or above the marked line, the pump does not need to be primed after the power is cut off. I can do 30% water changes without turning off the filter. If you turn it off during a water change, it will start up again without the need to fill the filter box. It is ideal for a 3 gallon aquarium.
