CPR Keychain. Like anything related to first aid or CPR, this is best used by trained individuals. So if you have this (or something similar) but don't have a CPR certificate, do it the other way around: get a CPR certificate first. actually seen up close. Apparently it's not as good as the one sold by the Red Cross. After looking at it and trying it on my wife, I'm not exactly sure what exactly it's supposed to protect a person doing CPR from. The plastic protects the caregiver from any contamination from the victim through skin-to-skin contact (and vice versa). The big problem is that the valve is advertised as disposable but it is not. By placing my lips on the valve on the affected side of the barrier and blowing, I can effortlessly force a flow of air through the valve and to the operator side. I have attached several photos, one of which is a mask and two "valves". Images of the valve are taken from the victim's side; if the valve is to be one-sided, there must be no return flow of air from that side to the person providing assistance. However, one of the close-ups shows the top of the valve diaphragm. This means that a completely unhindered path from the injured person back to the carer is possible. In another shot taken from the victim's side, you can actually see the opposite side (you'll have to look closely), further confirming that the way out is clear.
