When I got the CKL 3 KVM monitor, I first connected it without power. I was very disappointed because the monitors were not stable. However, I quickly realized that providing KVM power solved this problem and I was willing to give it 5 stars! However, it didn't stay that way for long. I found out that my keyboard doesn't work in KVM. It doesn't matter, I have a dedicated mechanical LED keyboard so it's fine. I will act. Then I went to plug in the headphones. TONS of noise, almost unsuitable for music. Two weeks later and now my mouse doesn't work either. So I have a KVM switch that works great with monitors, but THIS is it. Of course, this makes it easier to use between laptop and desktop, but swapping out the keyboard, mouse, and headphones every time isn't ideal.
