I cut my husband and grandchild hair, my 3 doggies and two of my friend's dogs and still haven't had to recharge. These cut through super thick Shihtzu hair that had some matting with no trouble. Do use a guard though if your dog has sensitive skin like mine. I removed the guard to get the tummy area and caused a little razor burn on my little fur baby (cleared up quickly but I felt horrible!)These clippers are SHARP! And stay sharp. I've purchased clippers that I used to cut one dog and had to trash because of dulling. These are the best I've ever used. Easy to clean. My only critique is the way the guards attach. They can catch hairs on the sides every now and then. Other than that, these are perfect!Update: months later and I am even MORE impressed with this set. Still very sharp after several rounds of haircuts. Battery life is amazing. I'm starting to wonder if this thing is self charging, LOLI'm very happy with my purchase!
