I have just received 2 E248W-19203RS monitors. I have a family history with the Scepter monitor as my wife has been using the matching E248W-19203RS (2017) dual set for 3 years now and loves them. While the 5ms TN pad isn't a gaming pad by today's standards, it's more than adequate for games like World of Warcraft. Color depth and brightness are great for a room with 2 windows. Plus, the subtle bevel makes it feel like an ultra-wide experience when you're sitting next to each other. (I was also looking to buy LG 29UM59-A) chose them as the need for screen real estate outweighed the need for an ultra-wide signal. 42" vs. 29", $40 and cheaper to replace.
