Review on Lenovo Chromebook Flex Touchscreen Accessories by Mike Johnston

I needed to replace my Surface Pro3 and appreciated buying a laptop rather than a tablet. The features and price of the Lenovo ThinkPad were much better than the new Surface. I'm impressed with the size and clarity of the display. I thought the extra weight would be a downside, but the difference between 2lbs and 1lb is negligible. I like the number of USB3 ports (4). The battery life is excellent. I mostly use it on my desk with the charger plugged in, but when I'm not at home I can work 6-8 hours without any worries. I mainly use it for CAD, Python programming and reporting, so players will have a different experience. 500GB SSD is awesome! It loads in seconds. Lenovo has built in a good maintenance system that tracks usage and helps me manage the accumulation of junk. The only downer is the installed McAfee software. I'm not against McAfee - it offers decent protection, but can slow down the system significantly. My issue is that Lenovo's $19 subscription price doesn't appear to have been communicated by McAfee. When I tried to subscribe online it wouldn't accept payment. Then, when I spoke to a McAfee support rep, they wanted to sell me a $119 subscription and didn't accept Lenovo's discount. One star deduction because of annoying. I would only give 1/2 star if I could as the problem was probably on McAfee side. Overall, the Lenovo ThinkPad is a very good mid-range laptop. I don't think the more expensive version is worth the extra $800 unless you're a gamer who likes to carry your computer around with you all the time.
