I installed these over the weekend - the hardest part was getting the battery power cable through the cab, under the bed and up to the tail light. And it wasn't that difficult. I then attached the lights to the bottom of the rails. Most of the light is directed downwards, but in the dark, the reflection is enough to fully illuminate the entire bed. They come with a lot of wires, I had too much excess on the driver's side so I cut most of it off and ended up connecting it to the passenger side which was long but still not enough to get to the driver's side where everything is . tied together. In general, if you have basic soldering skills, you can easily handle this task. The warranty will go out the window, but check everything first and everything will be fine. Time will tell if the glue will hold, but wipe it off with rubbing alcohol first. I saved the clamps in case I need to screw them in. I also had to cut off a foot of each length. All it took was a razor blade stuck right into the cut. All in all, for $20 you can't beat it.
