WE already had a thick mattress and used sheets that were supposed to be deep but kept falling off. I added a 2 inch topper which is our very thick mattress assuming we will only be living with tied sheets in the mornings or I will have to pull out my sewing machine to alter what we had. I ordered this sheet and we were pleasantly surprised that it actually stayed up and to be honest I could have gotten a 4 inch foam topper as there is extra room! That's cool! The material feels nice, maybe not as silky as some, but it's still underneath.
