I've been thinking about which portable fan to buy because they all seemed to have mixed reviews. But in the end I chose this one because I liked the design, it's more adult-oriented and doesn't feel like a toy. I really think the reviews don't go well with the actual product because I was really impressed by this fan! You put in 4A batteries, push the button under the round fan, and there are 3 settings. The first one is enough for me, I like the soft, gentle breeze when I'm sitting at my laptop indoors. It's also great for the office. Stage 2 is great for outdoors and your office air conditioner will turn off on those days. However, the 3rd level is too strong for me, I was very surprised! This is a very powerful, explosive take that is also loud when the environment is quiet. What I like is that you can fold it so that it sits facing you while you work on the computer or eat at the table etc. You can also wear it around your neck. I carry it in my purse. I often take the subway and sometimes the air conditioner breaks, so I pull out my fan. The air is very cold and the 1st and 2nd stages are quite quiet. The blade is plastic, won't hurt you if you accidentally slip your finger, just makes a "buzzing" sound. Its length is 7 to 8 inches. I really like my purchase, it came in very handy during the hot Los Angeles summer. Oh, and mine didn't break straight away, and I didn't have the problems others had. Buy direct from Revain for quality assurance. And if it breaks send it back!
