This is a powerful fan. It's much more powerful than those small electronic fans and more portable than desktop fans. It fits in a shoulder bag, even a small shoulder bag. UPDATE: 6/8/13 - WARNING: Be very careful with this fan if you have medium or long hair. I used it outside and the wind was blowing and it was sucking my hair into the fan. The fan stopped but I couldn't comb my hair so now I'm missing a strand of hair that's really visible. I would suggest wearing this lower on your body and pulling your hair back into a ponytail if using outside when it's windy.
