I really like these containers and would give them 5 stars if they were completely sealed. I love everything else about them though! I have these kind of little containers that I love that have lasted me in the microwave, freezer, and dishwasher for several years. I wanted them because I needed square (or rectangular) containers that could be easily stored in the fridge for weekly cooking. These are perfect for that! Round containers don't fit into packed lunches and waste valuable fridge space. I don't know why manufacturers insist on ineffective round shapes, but it's really hard to find a square or rectangular shape. Many cooking containers are plastic, and even the BPA-free versions sometimes discolor or warp so the lids don't fit. They are perfectly dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe and while white lids can get tomato stains I haven't had this problem and the glass doesn't discolour. (And they come in other colors.) (REDACTED to add that some of the white lids had small internal stains after being used with tomato sauce. These are very faint and only on the inside of the lids, but if that bothers you (You may need more dark lid color.) They fit in both of my work lunch bags just as well and fold neatly in the fridge. They hold 3 cups - a large portion for lunch or dinner (almost too much if it's for one person). The only downside is that they are not completely sealed. If there's liquid in there and they've tipped on their side, there's likely to be a bit of a mess. My lunch carriers keep them upright, and I carefully zip them up in gallon-sized ziplocks when I fill them with soup or something very liquid, just in case. I've looked at other brands that claim to be airtight, but all of these caps have had other issues with seals breaking or complaints that they still leak. These lids are tight and easy to close and I haven't had any issues with leaks as long as they're kept mostly upright. This brand and style are really my favorite food containers and I will be replacing all my plastic containers with these in different sizes.
