I don't know what ink purity means but as far as I can tell it prints the same as Canon brand inks if that helps. With Kingjet inks we can print millions of pages in color or black and white at a fraction of the cost of Canon branded inks. We now seem to be spending more on paper than ink. I no longer worry about black and white printing or color. Follow the instructions and print what you want. I really like our Canon PIXMA MX870 printer, but before we found aftermarket Kingjet ink I was thinking about buying a new printer. To attempt. This is a cheap experiment.
