Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Buana Bono ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, not suitable for use.

And if you don’t take it apart into pros and cons, then here’s what I’ll say: It can be used for macro, since it works more or less adequately near and af and is sharp on a covered one. Who and how they take portraits, I can not understand. At a distance of 5 meters, either manual focus, or contrast af in live view. In general, optically it suited me, but mechanically it didn't. It's better to buy cheap manual glass. Better take the Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8, it can be optically worse (although it's better open), but it's even cheaper and the assembly seems to be even better. In addition, the diaphragm is rounder

Pros
  • 1. Good optical performance. Very sharp at 2.8. 2. Availability. After all, the cheapest fast lens 3. On an open hole, the bokeh is quite so nothing
Cons
  • 1. Terrible build. People have had cases when the lens was arbitrarily disassembled. The trunk plays. 2. Sensitive focus and large AF step. Shooting less than 5.6 from a distance of more than two meters on autofocus is impossible. Rather, it is possible, but there will be soap 3. You should not use it on an open dirk. Too soapy. 4. Only mechanical adjustment possible
