For anyone concerned about clip breakage. Do not worry! They are stronger than OEM and there is no way to snap them in place with a proper crimping tool. They also have 3 hooks for fastening in verses unlike the cheap ones I've had that used 1 hook and 2 eyes. they are durable! I put the star on because, like most everything on sale, the hooks face down and touch the boot. What I did was take the clip that was in my hand and lock the hooks in place so they could be seen. I could see them stretching a bit. I took the pliers and curled them slightly so they were almost flush with the ribbon they were attached to. This will still allow them to be anchored, but the sharp ends won't stick down as far. If you're still worried, take a thin strip of rubber band and place it just below the strip where your teeth are. For crimping I used a Toolwiz crimping tool available here on Amazon.
