These cables are quite versatile, but many of them have fairly thick connector shells that will not fit a smartphone (like my iPhone) while the protective case (like Otterbox) is still on the phone. In other words, the opening in the protective case is sometimes too small for the cable jack housing to fit through, requiring me to remove the phone's protection when using it with something that requires paired RCA inputs. I chose this cable set because it has a smaller body and works great with my phone in a protective case. This is a big plus in terms of convenience.
