It's a perfect, well-engineered device. It does exactly what I needed it for and is very easy to install, set up and use. Every now and then there are good things that I just have to admire. This is one of them. It's just an elegant solution. I use it for monitoring and cooling when needed a CCTV power distributor with 9 12 volt cameras. The box has a transformer with a built in fan that turns on when the transformer itself reaches 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The problem with the box design is that the transformer fan simply circulates the hot air inside the box and relies on gravity to release the hot air. Not very efficient, especially with limited vents and next to a transformer fan. This device, combined with 2 USB fans, is ideal for exhausting hot air and protecting the transformer and cables from overheating. To see what it does, I extended the probe and USB line over 40 feet (using Category 7 cable), which works great without sacrificing performance or accuracy. Now I can see the device in the place monitored by CCTV and I don't have to go to CCTV to see what's going on. unit revolution. I could use a different probe (and fan) for the CCTV DVR itself, and while I'm at it for nearby audio equipment and the fridge. It would be GREAT to have 3 or 4 probes with 3 or 4 separate USB ports for different purposes without cluttering up your desktop. In summary, a GREAT device is well designed in terms of looks, software and operation/configuration perspective. Respect to the engineer and manufacturer!
