I bought the AWOW mini pc to use as a portable HTPC device and easily surf the internet on a TV without a laptop or a large desktop - Having to buy a PC. The main goal is to have a small device that can be carried from room to room and my family travels a lot so something like this would easily hook up to a TV in a hotel. Firstly, this device is more than capable of everyday tasks like surfing the web, watching videos and even light gaming. However, due to the locked CPU and integrated graphics, you can't play serious games that really require a dedicated graphics card, but this thing isn't designed for that. First impression, the thing loads fast on Windows! I've never owned a PC with an SSD, so I was shocked to see how much faster this thing boots up than my other computers that use hard drives. I hooked it up to my 120Hz 4K TV and was amazed at how well this device can display so many pixels without lag. My device is equipped with a 1.80 GHz Intel J4115 processor with 4 cores/4 threads. This mini pc is faster than my HP laptop which I have to use for my work! Crazy! I tested 4K playback with Kodi, VLC, and Youtube and didn't experience any noticeable frame drops or any sort of lag. If you want it to run even faster, you can install Linux or Android x86. I used Steam Remote Play to play and was able to play some AAA games over my home network without any noticeable lag or lag. For anyone who wants a basic PC for basic tasks like web browsing, online shopping, etc. and wants something minimal and doesn't take up much space, I highly recommend this mini pc!
