Turbogear has been very helpful for me in my career as I have needed to pick up things quickly without much knowledge or expertise but with an end goal being clear direction from mentors who are great at what they do! Not many downsides here - it's pretty easy learning curve if you're new; however even experienced devs can struggle initially when using this framework because there isn't always documentation readily available so having good online tutorials/guidance would be useful too.
