Doesn't get very hot!
I love the softness of this blanket and the fact that it completely covers my legs and part of my torso (I'm 5ft 7in tall). However, I have another electric blanket and it gets much warmer than this one. While it's more comfortable to sleep on and I can set it to maximum power without burning myself, it's not as effective for a quick warm-up when I'm very cold since the highest setting is so low. I would take it if you are doing something handy to get to sleep or if your skin is sensitive to heat.
