Our granddaughter loves purple, and there wasn't much choice in that color, which wasn't wool. We live in Middle Georgia, USA. It gets cold, but usually not very cold. However, this is the coldest winter in 40 years! This hat fits her tiny plus size but covers her ears well and stays tied under the chin. Not too hot. Machine washable in cold water with baby detergent and tumble dry low. It is amazing to all of us that she continues to do so! She likes it very much. There's nothing worse than walking on the floor with a child who has an earache. I wanted something to prevent this. I think this is a very good investment for them. Thanks. This year all our grandees covered their ears!
