Review on Kicker 46KISLOC2 Stereo Line Output Converter by Maurice Stavros

This model sounded great. You can only get a signal if you connect ground and a remote cable in addition to the speaker level inputs. When I plugged the blue remote into my external amp, it never turned off. It can detect 6V on speaker wire from 2021 OEM amps, so the red LED never goes out either. This is a problem because the external amplifier always stays on even when the car is off. I tried not using the remote cable at all, but then no signal came from the OEM to the secondary amp. Same when I tried not to use the ground wire. No combination was found where my aftermarket amp turned off when the car was turned off with this unit. I think you could add an inline switch, but I didn't want to add any more complexity. I contacted Revain support regarding this, then we tried calling Kicker on the phone but apparently it was out of business hours. Then I will try a model that does not have a remote wire function.
