There are so many google answers where people are trying to figure out how to remove connecting rods without a connecting rod removal tool. At this price, there's little reason to try it without and damage your cranks. I used this tool to remove a set of vintage Sugino cranksets that probably haven't been removed from a bike in 40 years in minutes.
