I probably wouldn't have bought them if the lights hadn't stopped working but I've been here. Why not replace those tungsten filaments with good LEDs? They worked great and I like the improvement. I inserted a wide, flat blade on the side (on the side of the hinges, opposite where I press the light to turn it on). Then it disengaged with a slight push and jumped out with no problem. In some cases, the problem may be with the switch and not the lightbulb. If you want to check this before replacing the bulb, you can check the resistance with a voltmeter. When the light burns out, they leave an open circuit. Of course, it will be an incandescent lamp with a tungsten filament. LEDs can sometimes fail, but they never burn out.
