I have an ocean kayak and the tracking is terrible. Half the effort goes into keeping it straight. When I stop paddling it turns by itself. I take pictures while kayaking and the uncontrolled direction really prevents me from taking pictures. Until I got this skeg. It's changing the way I kayak. Now I don't have to waste my energy on the kayak anymore. Go straight ahead. Without rowing it just stays where it is, no turning. The only problem it has now is that it loses some maneuvers and is harder to turn and a little bulky when I go in the water as I have to make sure the water is deep enough to attach the fin. But that's the preferred compromise. Definitely recommended if your kayak has poor tracking.
