I was glad to see that these are indeed genuine, genuine SUBARU filters. Perfect fit for my 2011 Forester. If this is your first time changing an AC filter (or cabin air filter, depending on which pattern you're looking at), you know it involves a bit of "manual manipulation": 1) Get down the glove box. to the side and 2) remove the filter from the blower housing. You open the glove box, remove the glove box damper (on my right hand side), then you have to force the two sides of the back of the glove box through the plastic that makes up the rest of the dash. The glove box features floating hinges so it can be completely removed without tools. The filter itself simply slides out with the help of four small tabs located on the front of the filter cartridge. I had to somehow twist the filter bowl left and down to get it through the dash plastic and out of the blower housing. Installation is just the other side of everything. Takes five minutes max, but as said, expect to break something if you try to lower the glove box. I would give these filters five stars if the price was a little lower. I'm pretty sure I replaced my filter around this time last year, so as you can see from the photo it's certainly a good idea to follow the manufacturer's recommendations on this.
