I really like the silkiness of this dressing gown, it's very smooth and feels nice. The long zip allows for easy entry and closes quickly to keep you warm. On not very cold days, you can unzip the end of the zip and leave the bathrobe unbuttoned like a rag. It doesn't need a belt or tie as it's a robe with a front zip. Straps on robes aren't flattering for most people anyway, so I'm happy to forgo them. It's warm enough for cold evenings in my Florida home, but probably not heavy enough for someone who lives in really cold areas like Maine or Montana. (Update: We've had some pretty chilly Florida nights and the robe is warmer than I expected) I love the length of the sleeve that doesn't get in the way of my breakfast. However, it is enough to warm my wrists. The collar is mostly decorative and does not close around the neck. Thats OK for me. The length was great for me (I'm 5'5"). Many items are now packaged in plastic zip-lock bags that you can store and use for other purposes. This one takes a big step forward by being in one of these "Space" type vacuum bag is located. I can definitely use this to store off-season clothes.
