Review on 🚵 Wheel Master 29er Alloy Mountain Disc Double Wall: Superior Performance for Off-Road Adventures by Robert Buenconsejo

I haven't used mtb'g for at least 15 years. Wrecked my old Gary Fischer 26" a few years ago. My wife rides a single track bike with a large group so I finally decided to buy a new bike and join them. I'm 6ft 7". and weigh 230 pounds so I needed an XL. or XXL frame. I found a used Trek Marlin 6 XL (23") 29'r. Upgraded forks to RockShox Judys, 2.3 tires, new 8 speed low 50 tooth cassette and dropper post. The bike came with Bontrager AT-550 rims (single wall) and hubs with leaking bearings. When I jumped, I bent the front rim. Standard rims were not designed for hard solo tracking. These new double wall Wheel Master rims are much stronger and should be able to handle heavy loads. The time will show. The hubs are good value, no seals, much like Stoke Trek hubs. Sealed bearing hubs are a big jump in price. Not worth it with this bike. The last shot with both rims shows Bontrager's standard rim single wall construction versus Wheel Master's new double wall construction. I am now buying the right rear wheel because I am convinced of the quality.
