So, first things first. WTF cougar? You used to have great golf shoes, but they don't exist anymore. I have an older non-spiked version of the Puma Ignite golf shoe. It was great. So amazing I actually bought 3 pairs and have worn all but the last pair since. Hence the reason for purchasing a newer version of the shoe. And this new version is nowhere near as good as the old version. First I had to get the W (wide) version of the shoe. The standard version is too narrow. Second, the sole of the shoe is hard, very tough. When you walk on it, you feel like you're walking on a slab of hard plastic, which is basically what you are. Third, the insoles in these shoes are complete crap. I have to replace her. Since shoe soles have no cushioning, the only place cushioning can be added is in the insole. And there's no cushioning in standard insoles. Fourth, walking 18 holes is basically torture for the feet due to the hardness of the soles and insoles. Nine holes is fine, but on the 13th hole I felt like my legs were being attacked. Luckily I didn't have any blisters. The upper didn't cause hot spots on the toes or arch of the foot when walking. And when hitting the ball, the stability of the shoe is good. I'm not sure what happened to Puma regarding their golf shoes, but if you go to us.puma.com and search for golf, you only get apparel. I'm not sure who actually did the design and manufacture of Puma golf shoes, but I can only find them through retailers. I can no longer recommend Puma golf shoes. Update: OK, I made these shoes fit and feel better by replacing the stock outsole insert with a better one. I now have an insole with more cushioning in the healing area and that has helped a lot. Now I can walk 18 holes without my feet screaming to stop walking. They're still not as good as the old Ignites, but at least I can use them now.
