I'm not a groomer but our Golden Retriever loves the water but her fur took so long to dry naturally. If her fur remains wet around the neck or hind end bacteria would set in and make her itch and smell like a dirty dish rag. This dries her without scaring her. Using a brush at the same time works even better.
