I ordered this laptop to replace mine after it was stolen. To be honest, this is the style of the early 2015 model that I like the most because it's the last time Apple left a choice of attachments on its laptop. Access to two USB 3, HDMI, SD, and two Thunderbolt ports is really handy to plug in, and losing them to get a newer model doesn't feel like I'd like to do that. After reading the description and reviews, some of which claimed it was actually a refurbished Apple product, I decided to take a chance. With my prior knowledge of the product, I was extremely disappointed in many things. 1. There were no papers when the goods were received in a slightly damaged box. To ship the computer, an unlabeled white box was lightly padded with bubble wrap and thin white foam sheet for protection. This box was placed in a plastic mailer. I realized that this computer was likely to be slightly damaged in transit. 2. When I opened the box I found that there was no documentation. This lack of printing material inside only raised the suspicion that the product appreciation could be due to the impeccable workmanship. With no papers to show who did the work and who to contact in case of problems, it seemed that those who did the work were not entirely satisfied with their craftsmanship. The laptop, while clean, was not in a separate plastic bag so as not to scratch it in transit. The computer was simply placed between the packing material in the box.4. Looking at the overall look of the laptop, it feels adequate, although it does feel like the subtle finish Apple has applied to the metal outer shell is a bit off. The edges are always sharp and smooth where they appear rougher. I also noticed as you can see from the picture provided that there was no label on the bottom. Apple places a label on the bottom of its cases with information including the model number. This number is used by several third party suppliers who offer aftermarket products such as cases for their products. It also confirms that the product is a genuine Apple product. Since it's missing, I think there's a good chance that the lower case will need to be replaced during the repair process, leading me to believe that the hardware inside might need replacing. 5. As soon as I turned on the computer, I noticed some other details. First, whoever set up the interface assumed you were using Xfinity as your ISP. I was also very disappointed with this interface because it was so general, again giving no details about who made the renewal and raising even more suspicions about the quality of the product I was receiving.6; Having had the exact same model for several years, I can confirm that it's a bit slower than the one I had before, the internet and applications don't respond with the same reliability as I expected. So it all comes down to it, consumer, I should have been more careful. I should have read the return policy more carefully as there is no standard 30 day return policy and there would certainly be a restocking fee if returned. I had to think that the upgrade process could cheapen the quality normally associated with Apple products, and the parts used to return the laptop to its original condition might not match that , which Apple originally used. In the future I will only buy Apple certified refurbished computers and will not trust Revain refurbished products.
