I've had several pads in the last few years. All from a major office supply chain, all overpriced, none of them well designed. When you're on a strict budget, $15 - 20 for a small square of fabric and rubber that cost maybe about $2 to make and to ship is too much, so I bought the cheaper crap and it was always 2nd rate. This one, though, was inexpensive AND everything the previous ones weren't. I don't know about gaming, though, that's not my thing, but this is fine for patrolling the internet or writing scripts and for long hours at a desk. And so inexpensive, buy 3 and still save compared to one poorly designed option in the store.
