It would be "good" if only that existed. I decided to install the support strap (actually two) INSIDE the trunk, not OVER the trunk. I want to be able to open my trunk. So I'm going to send them back (I bought two). Instead I bought FOUR heavy duty 1500 pond capacity ratchet straps for about the same price as 2 of these items. Ratchet straps are just as easy, if not easier, to use. After you've taken out the slack and rotated the ratchet once or twice, you can SEE and FEEL the tremendous amount of support that develops. And I can open my trunk! I've probably tripled the capacity of my hitch, which I'll definitely keep within limits, but don't worry.
