Review on 🔌 KNACRO Waterproof DC-DC Step-Down Converter 24V 36V to 12V 30A 360W - Efficient Power Conversion by Jason Flores

I bought this because I needed the advertised 15-40V input range. I tested the unit on a lab power supply under both no load and light load conditions. During both tests I couldn't get it down to 18.2V and when I got it down to 16.2V it shut down. It doesn't work at all at 15V and needs more than 18V when first turned on. I also tested at 40V and the output was stable. In all cases where it worked, the output voltage on my device was 12.3V. The product name and description states that the input signal is 15V, but when the box arrived it didn't say so either on it or on the sticker given description on the bag (it says 24 V input).
