So I have the same cutter but with regular blades that I used for small projects like baby blankets etc. I bought it with platinum coated blades. Thank God. Using my self-healing cutting mat, chalk marker and my acrylic quilt "ruler" all went well and was done so quickly that a project I had put off for 3 months was finished and beautiful. Too bad this titanium version wasn't used when I bought the old one as it didn't cut well through prewashed and ironed calico fabrics about 16 years ago when I bought it (new). Highly recommended. UPDATE: Well, it's not. not long. Now the blade rotates when cutting instead of staying still and the cap cannot be tightened enough to prevent this. The blade doesn't cut either. I pulled out my old 17 year old Fiskars utility knife that has never had a blade replaced and I cut strips of quilted fabric quite well. Pooh.
