Cutting wheel jumps

I've had them for 6 months and have done several projects. Since this was my first version of this tool, I thought the missing uncut tissue was operator error. Now that I've used it so much, I find that the wheel, or maybe the actual handle of the tool, has a small issue that's annoying. It skips every curve in the same place so I have to lift and cut which sometimes leads to small errors in cutting. It's too late to return it, so maybe I'll try to just buy a spare wheel. Otherwise, you need to

Won't cut through fabric

I am very disappointed in this purchase. I have previously bought Fiskars scissors and circular knives and have had no problems so far. The blade "jumps" and does not cut through the fabric, even with quilted cotton. I had to go back and use scissors each time to finish the cut. I would have sent the cutter back but I had a deadline to finish the quilt and didn't have time to wait for another one to be delivered. I read the reviews before purchasing and was surprised that the cutter didn't…

  • Great for outdoor activities

  • Cord is shorter than other options

Defective item

I was really looking forward to the Fiskars rotary knife and trusted this brand to have high standards but the product I received was completely disappointing. It slides easily but cuts very poorly, at some distance the cutter flexes a bit and doesn't cut the fabric at all. I had to go another time. This is a recurring cutting error because every 10 cm the fabric is not cut. It's very awkward to use and has distorted my fabric from having to go through it multiple times, and it's definitely not

Titanium blades and knife handle disappointing

Save money. Our company has been using standard Fiskars circular knives (steel blades) for twenty years and we love them. When the new titanium blades and cutters came out we were excited and bought them to try (along with the extra titanium blades). I'm afraid we were very disappointed. Titanium blades are duller than traditional steel blades and we have to apply a lot of pressure to cut. And the new knife handle appears to have been made using a sloppy injection mold - the roller pin is set…

Pros
  • Quilting
Cons
  • unreliable

So I have the same cutter but with regular blades that I used for small projects like baby blankets etc. I bought it with platinum coated blades. Thank God. Using my self-healing cutting mat, chalk marker and my acrylic quilt "ruler" all went well and was done so quickly that a project I had put off for 3 months was finished and beautiful. Too bad this titanium version wasn't used when I bought the old one as it didn't cut well through prewashed and ironed calico fabrics about 16 years ago when
