I bought a 25mm Panasonic/Leica Summilux together with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 which I just ordered. This fantastic combination gives me exceptionally sharp images in almost any light (and I do a lot of street photography at night). The ultra-fast f1.4 aperture also enables a shallow depth of field with pleasant bokeh. This camera's autofocus speed is lightning fast, and since the lens is slightly larger than many micro 4/3 lenses, grab the manual focus ring and snap a shot almost as quickly. A pleasure to use. This is my second Panasonic/Leica 25mm f1.4 Summilux lens, another (D version) for my "standard" 4/3 Olympus e-30. I say that because the differences are a bit revealing. The smaller Micro 4/3 DG lens is MUCH smaller, about 1/3 the weight and perfectly balanced on the OM-D. Unfortunately, part of the downsizing and lightening of the lens was the use of more plastic in the lens barrel on the DG variant. The lens doesn't feel "cheap" by any means, but it's also not as "Leica-like" as its big brother. I've heard that some people have a slight rattle coming from the lens. As far as I know, the low noise is due to the rapid aperture shift on some non-Panasonic cameras. I've never heard this happen with my camera, but I almost always shoot in aperture priority mode. In a way, this is the perfect lens for the Olympus OM-D. Not only does it look and feel good on this body, but shooting with a standard focal length main lens completes the 1970s experience that began with the OM-D style. The lens brings me back to the photography process I first learned with film SLRs - not bad! This lens has become the lens I keep on my camera unless I really need to switch to something else, which I really don't. very often. I had a hard time spending money on this lens, especially when I had the large D version and adapter ring ready and waiting, but the excellent complement to the OM-D is something that has to be experienced.
