Neck extremely uncomfortable

The The neck has a hammer on it which rubs against the neck versus others that have just neoprene, the orange picture for comparison.
Other than that it does keep him warm but rubbing on his neck so badly we may have to return. Afraid one size larger will then not fit well on the rest of his body

This item runs REALLY REALLY small. I know they are supposed to be tight but I would go up 2 sizes to what your child typically wears.
