This hat has been super nice for sun protection while wearing my hair up in a ponytail. I have a pretty average size head and this fits me. If you have a larger than average head and/or alot of hair this one might be too small for you. If you want full sun protection a wider brim might be better but this has been a nice combination for me. I enjoy having it to wear on my walks. Oh, and the chin strap has been handy on a few windy days too.
