This plastic hooked snake precisely removes hair and anything in its way. I had a hard time inserting it into the sewer, but I managed. It didn't want to spin much, so I just gave it a little shake and then gently pulled. A lot of hair fell out the first time. I tried it a second time and this time it caught on the plastic disc from the drain along with a few more hairs and ripped it out. The next thing I noticed was a large leak from the pipe. The little hooks aren't broken at all, but they're pretty sharp so they can easily snag on anything going down the drain, including washers that should be there. I have a PVC pipe. Given my experience with the leak I won't be using it again as I now need a plumber which I was hoping to avoid by ordering this with any circulating Covid infections.
