Bought for work use. Just started using it today, but so far it has been good. You can customize the dpi in the driver software, other reviews stated they had a problem with the hi low dpi switch on the bottom. This is not a problem for me as i never need to switch, but being able to customize dpi with an actual number is a huge bonus. If they made one of the top buttons programmable to switch dpi, it would make more sense than a hardware switch on the bottom.I am used to using a Ergo MX, and while this trackball is larger in the hand, and the ball itself does feel a little gritty in comparison, it still works great for me. If logitech would make a wired version of the mx, I would be all over it, as I'm not a fan of non replaceable batteries(the batt in my mx has never been a problem, it lasts a long time, but why not give us a wired option? ). I did pop the ball from my mx into this trackball, and it felt less gritty, but it's so little difference to me, that I feel it doesn't matter. The software also allows you to program buttons with keyboard keys, macros, and the like.Overall positive so far, and i expect this to last a least a few years with continuous daily use. I will update if that is not the case.
