Review on Spectra Premium C 698 Ignition Coil by Steve Atchley

I installed this along with all new ignition components (including distributor) on my 1990 3.0VZE 4Runner in September 2019. This produced an excellent spark compared to the ignition coil. exchanged and the price was correct. The truck ran great for several months, then had several accidental deaths while driving and in gear. This usually happened on snowy/muddy days. I thought it was an intermittent problem that only occurs under these specific conditions. Then as it got warmer everything was fine for several months and lately the last few days up to the final stage had died randomly every 10-15s of engine only riding. I replaced an old part that I had replaced in September, it had weak spark and now the truck runs fine with no problems for long trips. Go to Spectra, Spectra's warranty information says you must return to place of purchase for warranty. I will update this once I resolve the warranty issue.
